Dr. Gabriel Bar-Sawme is Senior Lecturer in Biblical Studies with History of Religion. He has a PhD from Uppsala University on a thesis about how a sacred space unfolds using language theory and ritual theory.
Dr. Bar-Sawme holds a BS in social work from Örebro University, a BA in theology from the Newman Institute, as well as an MA in theology from Princeton Theological Seminary. His research interests include liturgical studies, ritual studies, cultural studies, migration and critical theory. Gabriel has written a number of book chapters and articles for cultural magazines.
