Wax & Gold

The name is closely associated with Qǝne, the Ethiopian art of writing theological poetry where two layers of meaning coexist: a surface meaning (the wax) and a deeper meaning (the gold) that slowly emerges as the surface melts away. That is how we want Vax & Guld to be read — through conversation and dialogue, deeper meanings can become discernible. At least, that is our hope. 

Texts published on this site vary in genre, format and size. They are published in their original language, either in Swedish or in English. In some cases, a translation is also available. The authors are invited by the editors of Vax & Guld. Opinions and positions expressed are the authors' own.
