Getting started at the Folkhögskola
Welcome to Sankt Ignatios Folkhögskola! We are delighted you have chosen to study with us. Here you will find the information you need to get started with your studies and settle into your courses at the folkhögskola.
Term start and registration
The autumn term begins Wednesday, 19 August 2026.
Registration and introductory meetings are compulsory and will be held during week 34.
For students studying on campus: Dates and times for registration and introduction meetings vary for each course/programme. Students are expected to be on site on time. During the introduction meeting, you will receive all the necessary information about your course/programme and the academic year. You will also have the opportunity to meet your teachers, administrative staff and fellow students.
For students studying remotely: The date and virtual location for the online registration and introduction meeting will vary for each course/program. More information regarding the time and virtual location for your course/program will be sent to you via email.
If you are unable to be active online during the first week due to unforeseen circumstances, please notify antagning@sanktignatios.org in advance and explain your situation. Students who do not participate in the online introduction during the first week of teaching, and who do not notify the course administrator in advance of any obstacles, will lose their place on the course/program.
Students who will be residing at one of our seminary houses will receive a separate letter with information about moving in, practical information, and the introduction days.
If there are any changes to course or program schedules, these will be communicated during week 33.
Course literature and schedule
To ensure you have enough time to read all the literature and get the most out of a course, access to the course literature is essential. It is very important that you obtain the literature well in advance of each course start. You will find the course literature for your course on the course page at Canvas.
All participants are expected to obtain the course literature themselves unless otherwise stated in the course information.
