Sankt Ignatios theological academy is a unique learning environment.
Sankt Ignatios encourages students to engage with both tradition and society. We explore the roots of Eastern Christianity collaboratively, sharing knowledge and inspiring interest in our spiritual and intellectual heritage. We activate and equip people to participate in the life of the Church and to engage with the society around us.
Sankt Ignatios includes a folk high school as well as university and research programs. Students can study general subjects, or engage in theological study ranging from introductory level all the way up to post-graduate and research level.
Sankt Ignatios also houses five seminaries that cater to each Church’s liturgical tradition. The seminaries are responsible for contact with the Churches, as well as the spiritual formation of their priest-candidates and the nurturing of their life of common prayer.
Sankt Ignatios is an international environment. Students meet people from all over the world and become part of an exchange of knowledge and experience that bridges both historical and geographical divides.
We are not called to possess knowledge, but rather, to share it.
